2025: An Unexpected Diagnosis and Unexpected Gratitude
This year, I turned 50—an age that once felt far off and impossible to imagine, yet here I am… standing in it, owning it, and finding a surprising sense of clarity and gratitude along the way. Looking back on 2025, I can see just how much transformation unfolded in my life—personally, professionally, and everything in between.
A New Chapter with Sotheby’s
One of the biggest shifts of the year was making the move to Sotheby’s International Realty. It wasn’t just a career change; it felt like stepping into alignment. The brand, the standard, the people—everything matched the level of service and intention I’ve always aimed for.
It challenged me.
It stretched me.
It reminded me—loudly—that growth absolutely does not stop at 50.
This was the year I leveled up.
Our Family Team: Stronger Than Ever
Working in real estate as a family is one thing. Growing through life and business together? That’s a whole different experience.
This year, we found a new rhythm—one built on trust, patience, better communication, and a deeper appreciation for each other’s strengths. We didn’t just grow as a team; we grew as people who truly see each other.
The evolution of how we work together has strengthened our bond in ways I never expected… but am endlessly grateful for.
Understanding MS and Learning to Adjust
2025 was also a year of learning—about my body, my limits, and my resilience.
Living with MS means constantly adjusting, recalibrating, and offering myself grace I wasn’t always good at giving. Some days are smoother than others. Some days are messy and require more patience, humor, or time flat on the couch.
But I’ve learned this: vulnerability is not weakness.
It’s allowed my family to show up for me in new ways. It’s made us more intentional. It’s softened some edges and strengthened others. It’s brought understanding, more connected, and more aware of the moments that matter.
Friendships, Family, and Finding Gratitude
Turning 50 shifts your whole mindset. Suddenly it’s all about depth over quantity—real conversations, steady friendships, and the people who love you on the good days and the messier ones.
I’m grateful for the friends who stayed.
For the ones who showed up.
For the ones who joined the journey at just the right time.
And family… well, they’re my anchor. My constant laughter. My purpose. My why.
This year we navigated challenges, celebrated milestones, and leaned on each other more than ever before. That relationship? That’s been the greatest gift of 2025.
A Positive Outlook for 2026
As I step into this next chapter—this new decade—I’m choosing optimism, hope, and intention.
2026, I’m ready for you.
I’m walking into the new year with clarity about what truly matters:
health, family, meaningful work, and the courage to keep evolving.
There will be challenges—of course.
But there will also be joy, growth, opportunity, and beautiful new chapters waiting to unfold.
If 2025 taught me anything, it’s this:
As we age, life gets richer.
Here’s to 50.
Here’s to resilience.
Here’s to family and friendship.
Here’s to a bright, grounded, hopeful 2026.
